Sylvia Xiaohua Chen – MOST SUCCESSFUL WOMEN 2025

Sylvia Xiaohua Chen is Chair Professor of Social and Cultural Psychology at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and a leading figure in psychology. An Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Cross-Cultural Psychology, her research explores mental health, bilingualism, and cultural diversity, with frameworks applied in 35 countries. In 2024, she was named one of China's Best Scientists in psychology and elected as a Fellow of The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS), the only scholar from Hong Kong and China in the Social & Economic Sciences category. Her work highlights globalization's impact on acculturation and mental health, solidifying her global influence in advancing psychological knowledge.
