Ho Yuen kei
2024 Paris Paralympics Boccia Double Gold Medalist
Born with Spinal Muscular Atrophy, Yuenkei Ho spent much of her childhood in and out of hospitals. After discovering Boccia in secondary school, she joined the Hong Kong youth team and won double gold at the Tokyo Asian Youth Para Games at the age of 16. After transitioning from BC4 hand-thrown Boccia to BC3 ramp-assisted events in 2011 due to declining muscle strength, she secured two gold medals at the 2024 Paris Paralympics in both individual and pairs events, cementing her legacy. Globally ranked, she earned Hong Kong Sports Stars Awards for Women and, alongside her partner Tse Tak-wah, the Hong Kong Sports Stars Award for Team Only Sport.
